Festival Fast Facts

Date: Held annually on the First Saturday in October!
Location: Historic Downtown Newberry, SC 
Times: 10:00AM-6:00PM
Admission: The Newberry Oktoberfest is FREE. There is no charge for the live entertainment or the kids' activities!

What can you expect to see at Oktoberfest?

The Newberry Oktoberfest abounds with German Food, German Biergarten, Arts and Crafts Vendors of all kinds, live entertainment for all ages, Community Organizations, Classic Cars, and all around Fall Fun! Click here to download a complete list of our 2019 Artists & Craftsmen!

What can you find in Kindertown?

Visit Kindertown for NEW FREE activities including Carousel Rides, Rock Wall, Inflatable Slides, 50 foot Obstacle Course, Giant Pony Bounce House, and Human Bowling! You'll also find Balloon Animal Artists and Face Painters, Kindertown Photo Booth, and LOWES Craft Tent- All Free! Our activities are for all ages, so don't miss out. Be sure to visit our vendors selling toys for children as well and look for the Carnival Band Organ!

Pets

Service animals are allowed. For the safety of our event patrons and due to the high volume of foot traffic we do not recommend bringing pets to the event. We don't want them getting stepped on! There is currently not a ban on bringing pets. If they are brought they should be leashed and muzzled as necessary, and owners are responsible for cleaning up pet waste.

Where can you find official Oktoberfest Gear?

Come visit our T-Shirt Booth in Memorial Park, across from the Newberry Opera House! There you'll find T-Shirts, Long Sleeve Shirts, and Hoodies with our official Oktoberfest logo, as well as information and event maps.

Restrooms

Portable restrooms can be found at three locations within the event area. Standard toilets, handicap accessible toilets, and handwash stations can be found in the Community Corner (near Livingston's Service Station on Main Street), by Kindertown (at the Corner of College and Main Street), and across from the Opera House (at the Corner of Boyce and McKibben Street). Please refer to our event map on the Parking & Shuttle page for details!

 

ATTENTION PARENTS! LIFEBRIDGE is offering diaper changing stations and a quiet place to nurse for you and your child! Stop by for a rest even if that's all you need. 1510 Main Street , open until 4pm on festival day.
